BIOGRAPHY

Lukas is a Swedish visual artist based in Vancouver, BC, working across visual effects for film, contemporary painting, and murals. His practice bridges digital production and studio art, combining technical precision with material experimentation and a focus on narrative. He holds a Master of Science in Media Technology and Engineering, a background that reinforces the dialogue between technology, materiality, and form in his work.

Lukas works at the intersection of art direction and technical execution within visual effects. With a foundation in engineering, simulation, and technical problem solving, he contributes to visual development, from concept art to visual effects — shaping ideas, atmosphere, scale, and visual language across projects. Grounded in mural painting, he approaches effects as deliberate design decisions, where composition, mood, and motion serve the broader artistic vision.

He has created paintings and public artworks for Warner Brothers, Artscape Festival Sweden, IKEA, Pompei Street Festival, Springbeast Festival Stockholm, Squamish Mural Festival, Wesgroup Properties, Vancouver Mural Fest, and Meeting of Styles, with projects exhibited across Europe and North America.

Alongside his painting practice, Lukas has contributed visual effects to feature films, television, and game cinematics with studios including Lucasfilm, Industrial Light & Magic, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Digital Domain, and Mr X.

His credits include live-action films such as Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Black Panther, Black Widow, Aladdin, Aquaman, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Suicide Squad, Crimson Peak, and Pompeii, as well as animated films including Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Moana 2, In Your Dreams, Smurfs: The Lost Village, and The Angry Birds Movie.

For television, he has worked on The Sandman, The Strain, and Vikings, and his game credits include Call of Duty: Ghosts, Halo 4: Spartan Ops, and World of Warplanes. He has also contributed to commercial productions such as the Hyundai 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
